New website!

Last fall we adopted the AvyApp. This spring we're launching a new website! We hope you enjoy it and please send any and all feedback.

The Payette Avalanche Center has joined a national technology effort called Avy. Avy is a joint effort between avalanche centers in the U.S. to build and maintain consistent public facing technology for users across the nation.

The intention of the project is to go beyond standardizing forecast products with streamlined content and an improved user experience. Centers share website infrastructure and maintenance while preserving their unique identities. This platform is available to all avalanche forecast centers using the Avalanche Forecast Platform (AFP) built by the National Avalanche Center.

By sharing a unified front end experience, we are not only able to standardize the user experience and share maintenance costs—we are able to learn and iterate from user interactions to continually improve our digital products. There are many new features slated for development in the near future.
